Advocacy Services

What is an Advocate?

Advocacy means standing up for things that affect us personally. It's about doing something to try to positively change a situation.

An advocate helps make sure your rights are respected, exercised and protected.

An advocate provides information about what can be done, help find the things and information needed, assist with paperwork, and guide you through different systems like healthcare, education, and the law.

Each case is different according to the details of each situation, so it's important to look at each case individually.

While Teyolia provides advocacy services and educational workshops to empower communities, these are not intended to replace legal advice. We encourage participants to seek professional legal counsel for specific legal issues or cases.
