Restorative Practices: Conflict Resolution & Accountability.

Purpose: To teach participants how to resolve disputes within the community in a way that fosters healing, growth, and mutual respect and the importance of holding themselves and their community accountable for their actions, ensuring that justice is achieved through restitution, healing, and mutual respect.

Resolving conflict requires accountability for one’s actions and a commitment to restore balance within the community. It aligns with the idea that respect and dignity must be earned through actions that contribute to harmony, rather than divisiveness. Additionally, accountability is a key component of earning respect and maintaining dignity within the community. This program focuses on the importance of restoring balance after harm has been done, aligning with the concept of Tlamacehualiztli, where individuals must act responsibly to deserve their place in the social order.

This program is for community members, youth, leaders, and organizations who are committed to fostering peaceful resolutions to conflicts, both interpersonal and collective and those committed to accountability and conflict resolution.
