How to Participate
Participants can engage with Teyolia programs in two primary ways.

• Individuals may enroll to participate in programs and mentorship initiatives.
• Schools, organizations, and community groups may request programs for their communities.
How Our Programs Are Offered

Teyolia programs are offered through a combination of:

• youth leadership development activities.

Programs may be offered in person, virtually, or through community partnerships depending on the needs of participants.

Educational programs are provided free of charge whenever possible, particularly for youth and community members.
Some organizational training requests may involve facilitation fees depending on the scope of the program.

Community Advocacy & Support Services
Teyolia provides community advocacy and mentorship support to individuals and families navigating social, educational, medical, and legal systems.

Advocacy focuses on helping community members understand their rights, explore available options, and connect with resources that support their well-being.
Our work is guided by the principle of Tlamacehualiztli: responsible action in service of the community. Advocacy support is collaborative and case-specific.

Each situation is different and the type of assistance provided depends on the needs of the individual and the capacity of the organization.
What Advocacy Support May Include
- Listening to community members and identifying their concerns and needs
- Providing information about rights and protections
- Helping individuals explore options and possible outcomes
- Connecting people with services and trusted community resources
- Assistance with completing forms, applications, or reports
- Support preparing for meetings, appointments, or hearings
- Accompaniment and support during meetings when appropriate
- Assistance communicating with institutions such as schools, medical providers, employers, or agencies
- Guidance navigating systems such as education, healthcare, housing, and justice systems
- Community advocacy and raising concerns when necessary
